Dining at Bumi Surabaya Hotel

Up: Angsle
Bottom: Lontong Kikil

Gado-gado (Indonesian vegetable salad with peanut sauce)

The last night in Surabaya, all of us were very tired due to long congress period.
We just spent the night in the hotel, resting, watching TV, sleeping, and ..... dining!
There was all-you-can-eat program called "Pasar Malem" (means: Night Market). It served traditional East Java dishes, such as Lontong Kikil, Sate Ayam, Sate Kambing, Gado-gado, Bakso. For desserts, you can choose some sweet dishes and savoury dishes.

For traditional drinks, there were Angsle, Sekoteng, Es Campur, Es Teler.

I started the dinner at 8.57 PM, and with all so many dishes they offered, I was so full and had difficulty to walk, lol.

Trip to Surabaya: KOGI XIV

This time I go to Surabaya for exhibition at ObGyn Association Congress. The venue is at Shangri-la Hotel, same as my last exhibition venue during IKABI meeting.
Unfortunately, I didn't get a room in that hotel because I was late to book and every room was booked.

Thanks to my Business Support Coordinator, she managed to book a room at Bumi Surabaya Hotel. Located at Jl. Jend. Basuki Rahmad. My room is The Club Room type.
Rate per night is IDR 1,075,000. I get many privileges staying in this type of room.
The check-in was on 23rd floor on August 4, 2009. I get one time cloth pressing complimentary and there's free cocktail on 5-8 PM.
Breakfast is on 23rd floor, continental type. For more menu options, we can get breakfast on ground floor at Arumanis Restaurant.
I still prefer Shangri-la to Bumi Surabaya. At the same rate, I'd get better breakfast menu and newer building, plus free internet access in the room.

At Bumi Surabaya, they charge USD 15 for 24 hours internet connection. I connected to internet this morning at the business center. It cost IDR 62,000 for every 30 minutes.
